Rod Mullice – Managing Partner
Rod sets the company’s vision while leading the team in the planning and execution of the development projects. He has more than 18 years of combined experience in project planning, design, real estate brokerage and financing during his tenure with Khafra Engineering and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, and in his current role at Colliers International. He received his undergraduate degree from Savannah State University and recently completed the Harvard Graduate School of Design Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate.
Rod has served in various capacities in the area of transit-oriented development (TOD). He serves on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) National TOD Product Council, has been a moderator for the annual Rail~Volution conference, as well as a panelist on TOD for organizations such as International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Real Estate Group of Atlanta (REGA). He is a member of ULI’s Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) assisting organizations such as the McPherson Implementing Local Redevelopment Authority (MILRA) among others.
He is currently a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR) serving on the Governmental Affairs Committee and as the Vice Chair of the Mentoring Committee. He is also a member of the Real Estate Executive Council (REEC).
Romel Canete – Co-founder
Romel has more than 25 years in commercial real estate and head of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s financial services team. He was a member of the company’s consulting team for the transit-oriented development study for MARTA (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority); New York’s Eastern and Western Hudson Rail Yards bidding process, initially on behalf of MTA (New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority) and finally on behalf of the Hudson Yards Development Corporation. He acted as a financial adviser to some notable transactions such as 330 Madison Avenue (800,000 sf HQ on behalf of PWC), Hartford Insurance HQ (600,000 sf HQ on behalf of Hartford Insurance), 1 NY Plaza (1.2 million sf on behalf of Morgan Stanley) and 11 Madison Avenue – Credit Suisse US HQ (1.2 million sf on behalf of the Sapir Organization – Landlord), among others
Mr. Canete received the coveted Henry Hart Rice Achievement Award for the “Most Ingenious Deal of the Year” in 2012 and holds a MBA degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
